Lt. Mike Satterwhite
Lieutenant Mike Satterwhite began his career with the Longview Police Department in October of 1976. Prior to joining the Longview Police Department, Lieutenant Satterwhite served as a Military Policeman with the United States Army. During his career with the Longview Police Department, Lieutenant Satterwhite has been assigned to various areas of the department. These assignments carried increasing levels of responsibility and include patrol, traffic, communications and criminal investigations. In his current assignment as the District "A" Commander, Lieutenant Satterwhite is responsible for the law enforcement activities within the district 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A native of Longview, Lieutenant Satterwhite graduated from Longview High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Tyler. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
