Lt. Anthony Boone

Lieutenant Anthony Boone began his career with the Longview Police Department on January 8, 2001. Lieutenant Boone's career thus far has been in the Patrol Division where he has work all three shifts gaining a diverse perspective on the citizens he serves. He has been a Field Training Officer as well as a Field Training Sergeant and also served as an operator on the Department's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team from October 2001 until June 2005.
Lieutenant Boone was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in June of 2005 and served as Team Leader/Supervisor of the SWAT team from May 2007 to April 2008 at which time he was promoted to Lieutenant.
Lieutenant Boone has been involved with the Department's Taser program since it's inception and currently serves as coordinator of the Taser equipment and training.
Lieutenant Boone graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science degree in December 2000.
